Suwannee County Three-Day Releases
The official Suwannee Sheriff SmartWEB Jail View provides released-only searching with beginning and ending release dates. There is no separate stable 72-hour URL and no sheriff-labeled rolling three-day feed. Choose Released Inmates Only, set the calendar range, and inspect each returned card. A released card supplies a Status: Released label and an exact Released date and time.
This view answers a recent-feed question: which Suwannee County Jail bookings ended during the chosen window? It does not replace a name-based historical search or the release order. A returned card may reflect bond, recognizance, time served, a court order, sentence completion, or a transfer. SmartWEB's public card does not consistently normalize that reason. The sheriff's record is needed when the path matters.
Check Suwannee 72-Hour Releases
A three-day calendar search is often the closest practical starting point, but it may be wider or narrower than the last 72 hours. Date inputs do not include time. Include each calendar date touched by the desired interval, and then screen cards with their exact Released timestamp. If the check occurs during the afternoon, the true cutoff falls during the first day rather than at midnight.
- Open SmartWEB and select Released Inmates Only.
- Set the beginning date to the earliest calendar date touched by the window.
- Set the ending date to the current calendar date.
- Submit the search and open each matching released booking.
- Remove records whose exact Released time falls before the 72-hour cutoff.
- Record booking, MNI, and court case numbers needed for confirmation.
The captured three-calendar-day SmartWEB query demonstrates the filter settings used to construct the view.
The screenshot preserves a dated example. It does not promise that the same URL will always represent the current three-day period.
Suwannee 72-Hour Release Fields
The public result contains identifiers and event times that make a recent list useful. Read them together. A name alone can match more than one person, while the booking number identifies one custody episode. Charge and court fields connect the jail event to a case, but neither a charge nor a bond amount states the final case outcome.
| SmartWEB field | Use in a three-day review |
|---|---|
| Status | Confirm that the displayed booking is marked Released. |
| Released date and time | Decide whether the booking falls inside the actual 72-hour cutoff. |
| Booking date | Distinguish intake time from the later release event. |
| Booking and MNI numbers | Match the card to a sheriff records request. |
| Photo and demographics | Separate similar names while avoiding assumptions from the image. |
| Holds | Flag possible custody by another agency after Suwannee's booking ended. |
| Case and charge table | Locate the statute, case number, charge level, bond, and arresting agency. |
The archived card may also display an address supplied at intake. It is not proof of the person's current location. Likewise, the booking photo shows that the booking was recorded. It does not supply a disposition or release destination.
Note: SmartWEB does not consistently show a standard release-reason field, so do not infer one from the listed bond amount.
Suwannee Weekend Release Review
The wider period is useful around weekends and holidays because it reduces the chance that a reader searches only the wrong calendar day. Still, no Suwannee-specific weekend release policy, public release-processing schedule, or exact exit procedure was found in the official research. A release can post after internal work is complete. SmartWEB's update cadence is also unpublished. Those gaps should not be filled with rules from another Florida jail.
Search the full date interval first. Then check the exact time. If an expected booking is missing, repeat the search with Both Current And Released to see whether the person remains held or a spelling variation affected the result. A current record is not a release. When neither mode resolves the question, the sheriff records route provides the official fallback.
A holiday can also separate the jail timestamp from access to the court document that explains it. Suwannee's Clerk does not place criminal case files online. Once the office is available, use SmartWEB's court case number and ask the proper criminal division for the disposition, judgment, sentence, release order, or probation order that fits the question. A case marked closed does not state the exact jail-door time. In the other direction, a SmartWEB release time does not prove that the related case ended. The two records document different events and work best when read together.
Suwannee Release Archive Quirks
Suwannee SmartWEB differs from a roster that drops a person as soon as custody ends. It offers Released Inmates Only, date ranges, exact release timestamps, and archived booking photos. County research found some released records dating to at least 2005. That observation shows useful depth, but the Sheriff's Office does not publish an online-retention guarantee or completeness promise.
Florida's GS2 schedule addresses agency retention rather than website display. Booking records, commitment and release lists, and inmate incarceration records have a minimum retention of one anniversary year after release. Jail docket books are permanent. An agency may keep material longer. Therefore, an older SmartWEB hit may survive, while another record may require a direct request. No fixed web archive period should be assumed from either example.
A broad three-day search can also return several custody episodes for one name. Compare the booking number, MNI number, booking timestamp, release timestamp, photograph, and charge table before treating two cards as the same event. If the person was booked more than once, each card should be read on its own. The release date attached to an older booking does not describe a later booking, and a later current-custody card is not canceled by the earlier released status. When identity remains uncertain, give the sheriff both booking numbers and ask for the matching commitment-and-release entries. That preserves the sequence without merging separate records.
For a shorter current look, use the Suwannee County 24-hour release list. Its tighter window is better for a same-day question, while the 72-hour method trades precision for broader coverage before timestamps are checked.
Verify Suwannee County Release Records
The Suwannee Sheriff's public-records page names the official request channel. Call the records custodian at 386-364-3417 and identify the person, date range, and booking number. Ask for the booking record, commitment-and-release-list entry, recorded method of release, releasing authority, and any nonexempt release or transfer order. A narrow request reduces search work and helps the office find the right event.
Chapter 119 allows inspection and copies subject to exemptions. The sheriff does not post a flat fee for this record or promise a fixed response time. Ask for a cost estimate. Florida's statutory copy-fee and special-service framework can apply. If the release reason depends on a court order, contact the Suwannee Clerk's criminal division. The Clerk says county case files are not posted online.
A comprehensive named-person workflow is available through the Suwannee County released inmate lookup. That route joins SmartWEB with court, FDC, VINE, federal, immigration, and formal-record channels when a three-day feed cannot establish the full custody path.
Suwannee Release and Custody Sources
Each database has a narrow scope. SmartWEB covers adult Suwannee County Jail bookings. FDC's Inmate Release Information Search covers state prison releases and scheduled releases, not county-only detention. Florida VINE reports agency-fed custody events and can provide alerts, but the originating agency holds the durable record. BOP covers federal prison custody. ICE's locator addresses current or recent immigration detention.
- Released
- The Suwannee County booking shown in SmartWEB has ended.
- Transfer
- Physical custody moves to another agency or facility rather than ending.
- Hold
- Another authority may have a basis to take or retain custody.
- Discharge
- A custody or supervision term ends under the controlling record.
A person marked Released may next appear in FDC or another jail. Someone still shown as current has not left that county booking. If the card lists a hold, request the transfer information and check the likely receiving custodian before describing the event as a return home.
The same care applies after three days. A later database hit can clarify destination, but it does not change the exact Suwannee County release time recorded for the local booking.
Note: Alachua Regional Juvenile Detention Center records are not part of the adult SmartWEB workflow and generally remain confidential.
